Building Household: Social Media & Mental Health

June 13, 2018

After last week’s devastating news about Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade each taking their lives, we felt like it was really important to take the time to sit down and discuss social media, mental health and how we can all attempt to keep things in perspective on this episode of Building Household with Hailey & Amy. We chat a lot about each of our whys’, staying authentic, finding happiness outside of material success and the ways in which we can make social media a positive place and encourage each other to seek help when it’s needed. One Goal I’m Convinced Will Change My Business for the Better

May 29, 2018

This post was sponsored by Intuit Quickbooks.

Lately, I’ve caught myself really taking the success of this little business of mine for granted. We live in a culture that constantly pushes for more of this or more of that. More money, more clients, more followers, more likes, more recognition, but I’ve been making an effort to take a step back and express gratitude for just how far I’ve come and the ways this business has truly changed my life.

Ten Podcasts to Get You Out of Your Funk

May 28, 2018

If you’re an avid listener to either Building Household with Hailey & Amy or Mom and Dad Made a Podcast you know we skipped releasing episodes last week. Sorry guys! We ended up making our way to Rhode Island last Monday to meet and snuggle two of our friend’s newborn baby, introduce Owen to some of Zack’s extended family and eat all the traditional New England foods we could. Needless to say it was a much needed little getaway and a chance to breath in some fresh air in the midst of what feels like a crazy and busy time for us. Regardless of our hectic days, I’m feeling extra grateful that our schedules allow us the flexibility to do trips like this.

Best Practices from the Pinterest Team (+ a new episode from Building Household)

May 15, 2018

After three of the busiest weeks I’ve had in a long time I’m finally taking the time to sit down, on a Saturday night (mom life), and truly process everything everything I’ve learned. You see, a few weeks ago I had the chance to fly to San Francisco and visit the Pinterest headquarters to teach employees at their annual conference, Knit Con. I know, my jaw is still on the floor.
