Ten Things for the Weekend

October 27, 2017

1. This week’s mantra: “Motherhood is a choice you make every day to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is, … and to forgive yourself over and over again for doing everything wrong.” —Donna Ball

2. Just listened to the Talking in Circles podcast episode with Erica Chidi Cohen and it was SO GOOD. You’ve gotta download it. Now.

3. Thinking I need sheets in this color. Anyone else?

4. Have you checked out the new superzoom feature on Instagram?

5. Do you guys follow Ana? She just announced this week that she’s shifting things a bit on her blog and I’m so excited for her. Here’s a little taste: “I’m not looking for advice or to commiserate over babies anymore. I’m looking for inspiration, real connection, something beyond being “just a mom”. And don’t get me wrong, being a mom is the greatest honor I’ve ever had and it’s my favorite job in the world. But I want that connection for myself, not my kids.”

6. Did you read this story on Well Rounded about how formula-feeding liberated one mama?

7. I can’t stop listening to The National’s new album. Anyone else?

8. Did you catch this week’s home tour with Liz?

9. Does anyone know where I can find a coat like this? I think it’s what I need for NYC this winter!

10. Heading up north and taking Braving the Wilderness with me. Who has started it or read it already? I’m so excited!
