Ten Things For the Weekend

August 18, 2017

1. This week’s mantra: “When you dwell in an energy of positivity and power, you become a magnet for miracles.” ― Gabrielle Bernstein

2. Zack and I started listening to the NY Times Podcast, The Daily, this week which has been super helpful when it comes to staying informed given the political climate in the United States. It’s important to us to stay aware and outraged about what’s happening and not let this behavior we’re seeing become the new normal.

3. Not sure what you can do to help? Elizabeth Gilbert shared this link on Facebook with some actionable items and ways to take the first steps toward change.

4. I loved this TED Radio Hour podcast episode called Shifting Time. Time is fascinating to me on so many levels and this podcast shares a few different perspectives on the subject.

5. Keep an eye on my Instagram stories today for some accounts I love to follow!

6. Can it be August 23rd yet? We all need a little comic relief.

7. We’re on our last international stop of the year! I can’t believe it. We’re heading to NYC in early September then to Phoenix for the holidays with some other domestic stops throughout the fall/winter. We obviously have a lot of our favorites we want to visit in NYC, but are there any new restaurants that we should check out?

8. We brought back recipes to Household this week! Eeek! Make sure to check out this week’s recipe, and if you’re still needing some inspiration for meal planning I’ve been pinning like crazy here.

9. Do any of you have a rug under your dining room table like this? I want to think that this would be possible to keep clean, but as a mother to a toddler, I’m wondering if it’s actually possible!

10. So sad I’ll be missing Amy’s Documented Workshop, this September, but there are still seats available for those of you in the NYC area who are interested in upping your photo game. Learn more here.
